Nightrain smiled. "Let's get back to camp..." He suggested mildly. He didn't want it to sound like he was telling her to do that or anything. He just wanted the other clan cats to not suspect something. "I love you" He whispered.
Taintedthorn closed her eyes. Can love suddenly take such place? How can a cat fall in love after a night? Yes let's" She responded to his reasoning. Then she hesitated. "I love you too" She whispered back. Then she lifted her head. "Do you smell somecat?" She sniffed again. It was another cat! Oh no...

Fallenpaw padded against the soft, moist sand. The gravely substance was all over her tabby pelt, even the silver splotches she made sure to keep so clean. A few giggles erupted from her small body, smoothly going along with the rumble of a purr. The blue-eyed female spotted the two cats along the beach. She stopped dead. She had never known anyone else to come her. All the times her and her father had come it had only been them.
"Fallenpaw!" a stern - but well-mannered - voice called from behind. Flamecatcher bounded after his newly apprenticed daughter, his green gaze flickering slightly. The ginger tom padded up behind the femme, and smiled slightly. "Well come on, and I thought you were a social butterfly," he meowed as he past her and padded toward the other cats. They were well-groomed, but any longer could be, he could normally trace them by scent - but the kind beachs sea water - prevented that. "Hello," he meowed. Simple. Sweet. Short. And to the point.
"I am," she mewed stubbornly and padded after her father. She slunk behind him, not all to kind to strangers like her father was. She let him do most of the talking - for now.

Nightrain paused. He saw some cats from another clan- probably Shell or Sand clan by scent. "Greetings." And he dipped his head respectfully. He didn't want his love to get hurt, so he was extra super nice to the cats from SandClan. Or ShellClan, for all it mattered. "What are you doing here?" Then he realized he should probably have explained himself first. But he felt Taintedthorn move, and so he let her talk.
"Hey there. Whatcha doing?" Taintedthorn directed to the shy apprentice that hid behind the handsome tom. She kept her voice at a friendly purr, and noticed that maybe the apprentice didn't like to speak to strangers. Oop, my bad She thought, and pressed closer to Nightrain. Fallenpaw padded out from behind her father, a look of defiance planted on her face. No stranger was going to act friendly to her, treat her like a kit - i don't think so. "I could ask you the same question," she meowed, somewhat threateningly. The tabby flicked - actually, lashed - her tail out behind her; backing up those words she spoke.
He gave her a stern look, letting his fatherly instincts take over. "Fallenpaw," he said, his voice threatening in their own right, but still soft; "Act nice, these are fellow clan-cats, no need to be hostile." He saw his daughters look of apology, and her small "I'm sorry daddy," and then he continued to look at the others. He bowed his head in respect, even though he knew for certain he was older, and more experienced then the others. "I am Flamecatcher of ShellClan, this is my daughter, Fallenpaw. We tend to come here often." The ginger tom looked at them, eying up their abilities and then asked solidly. "Now, as my daughter retorted so rudely. What are you doing here?"

Nightrain wanted to just shrug and get away from this without anyone telling about them, but it seemed impossible, almost. Actually, he wanted everyone to know, but he knew that Taintedthorn would probably disapprove. "We were, er I mean she was... Hunting or something, and I think Taintedthorn likes to be by herself, or something, and, uh, I followed her." He tried to explain. God, i probably shoulda lied to him. "I mean, I come here often too, I just never saw you here." He fibbed. Maybe that will cover up my excuse, or excuses. I guess it depends on what angle you look at it from... He shook his wiry pelted body and shifted form one paw to the other.
[/size] Taintedthorn was blind, but she still stared at the young apprentice, or it at least looked like it. Sorry, Daddy She mocked, in her mind. "Nightrain..." She meowed desperately. "You're lying" She lied herself. "Mouse-brain" She started again, purring. "I was on a hunting patrol and I saw Skylynx going out for herbs, so I wanted to see if there was any prey there. Usually some plump prey in my camp are scattered around the herbs and even some deathberries! I don't get the ones around the deathberries though. Who knows what they might have eaten!" She already sounded smarter than Nightrain. Hope they believe me... At least some of it is true. "And then that-" She pointed with her tail to Nightrain. "...Friend of mine, he followed me here." She pretended to make a shw of rolling her eyes.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

The tabby apprentice blinked her eyes. It was still rather early in the morning, and it was odd for any cat to come here. So she immediately doubted the toms words, and then her thoughts were only confirmed when his companion told them he was lying. Fallenpaw blinked her eyes, their blue tones darker in the morning light. She looked at them. Her mind was calculating what they were saying. From their words she got that they were from SharkClan, seeing as their medicine cat was Skylynx, and that their names were Nightrain and Taintedthorn. She narrowed her eyes. 'They could've at least introduced themselves like civilised cats would,' she thought sternly, a little disgusted by their rude behavior. The blue-eyed apprentice already loathed SharkClan cats because of their constant bickering with the other clans, and from her intuition she didn't particulary like either of the pair much, one lied and the other just had a bad aura around her. The silver-splotched fae stayed silent, watching the other clan-cats, still sizing them up in her mind.
Flamecatcher narrowed his eyes at the black tom. "I see," he meowed after Taintedthorn. He didn't mention how he had lied, he just continued talking. "So, how is SharkClan?" he meowed. His mind worked faster then his daughter's, but he had known that they were SharkClan cats just from the way they spoke. He wasn't a hostile cat, and he knew that any time you can make an ally is a good time. He smiled at them slightly, his good-mannered spirit rising once more.

Fallenpaw, on Taintedthorn's A list, wasn't at the top, let's just say. She had scented only Sand or Shellclan once the two other clanners had so rudely interupt them. Taintedthorn stifled a yawn, and replied stiffly- "Fine, thank you." But more on the hostile side. She shifted from one paw to the other, and realized that Nightrain's pelt was very, very warm. "Are you sick? You're... warmish, for today. It's kinda cold..." She murmured, under her breath so that hopefully only her love could hear.
Nightrain was not impressed with the SandClan cats. He narrowed his eyes when Taintedthorn was lying about lying, and both were lies anyway. "Hey, shouldn't we be more hostile? SharkClan is supposed to not show any weakness. And no, I'm warm because you seem cold. Are you sick?" He gently teased back. Are you going to chase us out or anything?" He turned his gaze, now his eyes pointing at Fallenpaw, the apprentice, who seemed unwilling to be friendly. She would probably be first to think of that.

Flamecatcher blinked his soft green eyes, staring at the two who must be lovers. He nodded his head. "I see that you two would like to be alone, I'm sorry for the interuption of my daughter and I," he spoke - his voice considerate and understand, seeing as he remember being with Featherflick only six moons ago - before her untimely death. He stiffened slightly. It was rule, that no one mention Featherflick's name anymore. She died on the full moon, the night of Fallenpaw's birth; cats saw that as a bad omen. He nodded his head and flicked his tail across his daughter's ear.
Fallenpaw blinked her eyes, those intoxicatingly blue eyes. She nodded her head, and flicked her tail. She gave a smile to the two. It was faked -yeah, but it was hidden and looked genuine and real. She ducked her head at her father's tail and then began to pad after him.
